Chasing Difference
For over 85 years, Enza Zaden has been breeding vegetable varieties that perform better, taste better, and stand up to the challenges growers face every day.

From a small Dutch seed shop to a global network across 40 countries, our focus remains the same: give people everywhere access to healthy, diverse vegetables.
We invest one-third of our turnover into research and development. We work closely with partners across the value chain. And we believe that global expertise only matters when it meets local reality.

Growing with Purpose
2017 - Today

For over 25 years, Enza Zaden has been active in Africa, working closely with partners and gaining valuable insight into the region’s diverse growing conditions and market needs.
Building on this foundation, we established our African presence in 2017 with a clear goal: to bring our global breeding expertise closer to African growers.
What began as a regional foothold has evolved into a dynamic hub serving Sub-Saharan Africa. We built a technically skilled, on-the-ground team. We invested in on-farm trials where varieties are tested in real production environments. And we partner with distributors who understand their local markets.
Today, our portfolio spans tomato, sweet pepper, onion, lettuce, cucumber, watermelon, and pumpkin. Beyond yield, we emphasize quality, taste, shelf life, and market appeal
